Peter has twenty-seven years experience in the
arts and entertainment industry. He has worked in the performing
arts, corporate theatre and training sectors. Peter's area of expertise
is Production and Project Management.
In 1987 Peter was appointed to the NSW Arts Advisory Board. He is
currently Chairman of the Board of Directors at Glen Street Theatre.
Over the past five years, Peter has delivered a course in Indoor
Pyrotechnics at NIDA.
Peter's first exposure to pyrotechnics special effects was in 1975
when he was Stage Manager on the Tintookies.
Peter commenced working full time for Explosive Entertainment in
1998. Peter has worked on the Sydney New Year's Eve displays from
1995 to 1999. He also worked on the pre-production for all the Company's
1999 New Year's Eve displays, including Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide,
Brisbane, London, Dunedin, Wellington. Peter supervised the set-up
and firing of the Melbourne Millennium Display. For the 2000 Olympics
Peter worked on the Closing Night Harbour Spectacular, the Opening
of the Olympic Football at the MCG and the Gymnastics Gala at the
Superdome. He also worked on the Paralympic Opening and Closing
Ceremonies and the Opening Ceremony of the 2001 Brisbane Goodwill
Games.
Peter is a licensed Pyrotechnician in NSW, Queensland and the ACT.
